Artist, designer and writer, I began my career at Winthrop University in 1991. My love for design began when I purchased my first issue of Rolling Stone magazine in 1990 featuring Sinead O'Conner on the cover. Senior Art Director Gail Anderson's use of typography as a design element beyond just "words on a page" inspired me to view type through a different lens. One in which it is not only a source of communicating information but is an integral part of the overall beauty of design.
