My work focuses on honoring the fundamentals of design while showcasing the art of typography as a design element. Whether it is a logo or branding; simple or whack-a-do; utilizing typography to create innovative, cohesive designs while upholding its impact, beauty and message is my mission. Growing up I never really knew I wanted to "be an artist". I just knew there were stories I wanted to tell and drawing was the way I could do it. Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal was the story that changed me as a kid. It was the power of his visual storytelling that inspired me to find my voice in the creative world. As a designer it's my philosophy that each element of any design is a character in a story. The white space, a carefully placed pause; imagery an emotional connection—where introductions are made through text typefaces and fonts—and the pace of the conversation, set by its layout.
