I never really knew I wanted to be an artist. I just knew there were stories I wanted to tell and drawing was the way I could do it. The Dark Crystal was the story that changed me as a kid. Part of a world that only existed in my imagination or as illustrations in books like A Wrinkle in Time, was now right in front of me.   Me, who as a child, could not be convinced it wasn’t real. It was the power of this visual storytelling that inspired me to find my voice in this creative world. As a designer it’s my philosophy, that each element of any design is a character in a story. The “white space”, a carefully placed pause. Imagery, an emotional connection. Introductions made through text, font and typeface. The pace of the conversation, set by its layout. Every element has a purpose and is placed with intent — to tell the story.
